Brockport Fire Department hosts open house

The Brockport Ambulance Corps and the Brockport Fire Department host a community Open House at Fire Headquarters, 38 Market Street this Saturday, August 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Firefighters and ambulance personnel will be on hand to answer questions about fire safety, basic first aid training that is available, or to do blood pressure checks. Visitors will get a chance for an up close and personal look at fire trucks and new ambulances.

The Open House will feature a vehicle extrication drill where a trapped victim is removed from a crashed vehicle. This is scheduled to take place at 11:30 a.m. Firefighters will literally tear the vehicle apart as they remove the victim from the wreckage. The community is invited to attend.
