SUNY Brockport Alumni elect new board members

The Alumni Association of the State University of New York College at Brockport elected six new members and eight current members for three-year terms on the Association's Board of Directors. They will join 11 other board members whose terms have not yet expired.

The new members are: Mary Lou Beagan '84, Rob Blair '00, Paul Fortner '93, Jon Roberson '82, Brad Schreiber '85, and Cindy Rizzo Schultz '84.

Re-elected to the Board of Directors are: Brenda Ulrich Beal '60, Mary Brei Duryea '64/'69, Elaine Leshnower '61/'89, Michael Mellace '96, Carolyn K. Miller '83, George M. Rich '54/'62, Mike Roche '59, and Mel Smagorinsky '53.

The current Executive Committee, composed of the officers and three directors, was re-elected for a two-year term expiring in July 2004. Serving in these roles are: President George Rich, Vice President Mike Roche, Secretary Mel Smagorinsky, Treasurer Brenda Beal, and Board Members-at-Large Sharon Belle Render, Mary Duryea and Carolyn Miller. Christa Filipowicz '77, who served as president from 1996-98, is the immediate past president of the organization.
This marks the first time in the Association's one hundred-year history that the president has been elected to three consecutive two-year terms.
