Fall programs at Gillam-Grant

The following classes are being offered in September at the Gillam-Grant Center in Bergen:

•Fitness Room Program held in the new fitness room - northwest wing of Byron-Bergen High School. It is open on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays, noon to 2 p.m. The fee is $30 per semester paid at the Gillam-Grant Center where usage fee cards are issued. Call the center - 494-1621 for information and eligibility.

•Bone Power - an exercise program designed to strengthen bones - to prevent Osteoporosis and reduce the risk of falls and fractures. It is taught by trained instructors starting Thursday, September 19 from 1 to 2 p.m. No charge.

•Watercolor Painting with artist Berniece Yunker, for intermediates as well as beginners will be held on four Thursdays starting September 19 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

•Basic Sign Language for 5th and 6th grade students. Adults may also register or attend free with their child. Starts Wednesday, September 25 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Gillam-Grant Library. It's an eight week program. Class size limited.
