September 1, 2002

9:43 a.m. – One engine, a grass fire truck and chief responded to a water main break on Gillett Road. Break caused an undermining of a utility pole. Situation turned over to RG&E and County water authority; fire assignment back in service 10:34 a.m.

11:07 p.m. - Two engines, a ladder and two chiefs responded to a reported dumpster fire close to the structure on Nicole Dr. Fire extinguished with no extension to the structure, assignment back in service 11:37 p.m.

September 3, 2002

9:57 a.m – One rescue and one chief responded to a 4 wheeler flipped. Assisted Spencerport Ambulance with a 19-year-old male with leg pain; fire assignment back in service 10:11 am.

September 4, 2002

5:54 p.m. – One engine, one ladder and three chiefs responded to a reported shed fire behind Cosgrove Junior High School. Arriving units found an electrical transformer on fire. All players and spectators were asked to leave the soccer game due to possible hazards. The transformer then exploded, no injuries sustained by fire personnel or civilians. Turned over to Spencerport Electric; fire assignment back in service 6:32 p.m.

September 7, 2002

12:32 p.m. – Two engines, a ladder, rescue, grass fire truck and two chiefs responded to a report of smoke in the Kwik Fill on West Ridge Road. Arriving units found a haze of smoke throughout the area, caused by a large brush fire in the fields behind the building. Fire extinguished, no cause found; assignment back in service 1:14 pm.

3:15 p.m. – Two engines, a grass fire truck and chief responded to Chambers Street for a field on fire. Arriving units found a large field on fire. Fire extinguished, no cause found; assignment back in service 3:57 pm.
