Habitat for Humanity
receives backpacks

Kelsey and Shelby Harmon of Byron are shown assembling school supplies into backpacks for Habitat for Humanity. Children at Salmon Creek Community Church in Bergen decided to find a way to show love and compassion to kids who might not be able to afford new school supplies. They collected enough backpacks and supplies for seven children. Says Shelby, age 8, "This year in KidZone we learned that God wants all Christians to care for people who don't have a lot. This was a fun way to show kids that God loves them. I hope they like the gift."
