"Talking Feather's Favorite Indian Legends," an anthology of 48 Native American folk legends by Shirley Cox Husted, is now available at the Lift Bridge Book Store in Brockport and the gift shop at McCracken Farm in Sweden, where Husted portrays the storyteller Talking Feather every day in October. The book is dedicated to Shirley's Indian great-grandmother, Rachel Wheeler Cox. Copies are also available from the author for $9.50 plus postage.

A butterfly created by her granddaughter, Katie Husted of Fairport, illustrates the title page. Another drawing by a young Sioux boy is among several full color illustrations featured. The legends have been told to audiences at McCracken Farm during fall festivals.
