Christmas at the Lighthouse
Christmas at the Lighthouse

This year marks the seventh annual "Christmas at the Lighthouse" event sponsored by the Friends of Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse. On Sunday, October 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse will be decorated for Christmas and open to the public for free tours.

Trudy Sworts of Floristry by Trudy, in Medina, will decorate the tower, as well as the lower floor of the Lighthouse with her original creations made especially for the lighthouse.

This year's entertainment will be Elizabeth Baker, a harpist. She will be performing Christmas selections along with a large selection of elegant music from noon to 4 p.m.

Hall's Apple Farm of Lockport has donated the fresh sweet apple cider that will be offered with doughnuts and home made cookies for refreshments.

Christmas at the Lighthouse will be a celebration of the season to come, and a showcase of the progress that has been made this year. Join in the restoration efforts by "Adopting A Stone." All proceeds from the sale of lighthouse souvenirs and refreshments will be used in the restoration of Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse.

The lighthouse is indicated by signs on Route 18 which direct visitors to Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse at Golden Hill State Park on Lower Lake Road, Barker.
