Bergen residents invited to participate in holiday contest

The Bergen Triangle Club will sponsor a Holiday Home Decorating Contest this year in the Village of Bergen. The judging will be done December 5. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated homes. The prizes will be given out at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 6. Residents are urged to participate.

People wishing to participate in the Tree Lighting Ceremony are to meet at 6:45 p.m. at Hickory Park on Lake Avenue. Santa will arrive by fire truck. Led by Santa, participants will sing carols as they walk down Lake Avenue to Zuber Park for the ceremony. After the ceremony, refreshments will be available at the Historical Society's barn on Rochester Street.
