Community Thanksgiving worship planned in Hilton

Hilton area churches will hold the annual community Thanksgiving worship on Sunday, November 24 at 7 p.m. at Hilton Baptist Church. The clergy, people and choirs of the area churches will come together to worship. There will be combined choirs under the direction of Betty Benoit. The worship service will feature a mini concert by the choirs, as well as reading, prayers, hymns and meditations. There will be a collection of non-perishable items for the emergency food pantry and a free-will offering will be taken to benefit the work of the Hilton Community Council.

As a response to the 9/11 tragedy, the clergy of Hilton have been drawn together and meet weekly for fellowship and sharing.

This Thanksgiving with the Body of Christ in Hilton is one example of a renewed sense of coming together for worship.
