Service of Remembrance for anyone who has
experienced the death of a child or young person

The First Presbyterian Church of Holley is holding a Service of Remembrance and Compassion, designed especially to meet the needs of family members and friends who have experienced the death of a child or young person. The service will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 8 in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church in Holley.

All are welcome, regardless of how recent or long ago the loss, or the circumstances that resulted in death. Those who have experienced a loss during pregnancy are also welcome to this time of remembrance.

The second Sunday in December is the day set aside by the support group, The Compassionate Friends, as an annual day of remembrance and is marked by the lighting of candles at 7 p.m. In accord with this tradition, which is now honored worldwide, this worship service will include a candle lighting ceremony, as well as music, scripture reading and prayer.

The First Presbyterian Church of Holley is located at the intersection of Routes 31 and 237 in the village of Holley. For information call the church office number, 638-6770.
