300 quilts sewn for at-risk children

Thanks to the gifts of time, talent, fabrics, and money, the ABC Quilts Ministry sponsored by the United Methodist Church of North Chili collected and distributed over 300 baby quilts to at-risk children in 2002. Most are used for Strong Hospital programs, and some extras went to New York City for HIV-positive babies, where the need is greatest.

The first ABC Quilts workshop of 2003 will be at the church, 2200 Westside Drive at Buffalo Road from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, January 18. Area sewers are invited to attend for a hour or for the whole morning. No quilting experience is required, but participants should bring a pair of scissors. Sewers may bring their machines if they like.
