Cadets win meet, Saints' Vaderwater wins overall

The Hilton Cadets gymnastics team improved their record to 6-0 this season with a 130.725-115.550 win over Churchville-Chili January 7 at SUNY Brockport. Rush-Henrietta and Honeoye Falls-Lima also competed and finished third and fourth respectively.

Saints senior Jackie Vaderwater won the all-around with 32 points with a first place finish in the vault, second on the beam and fourth in the floor exercise. Hilton freshman Alexa Wray finished second overall with 30.650 and seventh-grader Paige Wray was third at 30.250. Paige won the floor exercise with an 8.70.

Other top finishers for the Cadets were sophomore Diana Bermudez, who won the beam with an 8.40 and finished first on the uneven bars with 8.475. Eighth-grader Nikki Morabito won the vault with a 8.50 and finished third on the bars, Heather Hawes was second in the floor, Erin Duffy was second on the bars and third in the floor exercise while Jessica Frisbee took third on the vault.

For the Saints, Danielle Palumbo and Kim Golis were third and fourth respectively on the beam.
