The SUNY Brockport gymnastics team was ranked first in the country in Division III last week after finishing with 180.325 team points at Division I Towson this past weekend. The Golden Eagles team high is over a point more than second place Wisconsin-LaCrosse who had 179.225 points, and is also a new school team record.

Brockport also broke its team records on the bars (44.625), beam (46.550), and floor (48.025) and the first meet of the season, the Golden Eagles also broke their team vault record (46.500). These team scores also rank Brockport #1 in each category.

In the individual rankings, freshman Kristin Sheerin (Cohasset, MA/Cohasset) is number one in Division III on the beam with a 9.550 and tied for fifth on the floor exercise with a 9.550. Sophomore Jordan Christiano (Hilton/Hilton) is currently ranked second with a vault score (and school record) of 9.500 and third with an all-around performance of 36.525.

Brockport will host Ithaca College this Saturday, January 25 at 1 p.m. The Bombers are currently ranked third in Division III with 178.775 points.
