The Town of Riga Recreation and Community Events Department and the Churchville Lions Club invite the community to celebrate winter with Winter-Fest 2003 Sunday, February 9, at the Churchville Elementary School from 1 to 4 p.m. Musical entertainment by Bart & Kevin from 2 to 3 p.m. Games and prizes, crafts, scavenger hunt, face painting, refreshments, snowmobile rides, massages and more. A chicken barbecue will be prepared by the Churchville Lions Club with profits to help raise money for Peter Neidrauer to run for Lions District Governor. Tickets are $6 per dinner. Pick up begins at noon or seating available in the school cafeteria.

February Recess activities include:

•Tinseltown IMAX Theatre presents - Lion King: movie, popcorn, candy and a drink. For children grades K-6, Tuesday, February 18. Meet at Tinseltown Theatre, Gates, $8 per child. Note: due to this early scheduling, the movie theater is not exactly sure what time the movie will start. The Rec. Dept. will inform the participants as soon as information becomes available. It will likely run either 11:30 a.m. or noon.

•Bowling Party Rose Garden Lanes: two games of bowling, shoe rental, pizza, and soda. For children grades K-6, Wednesday, February 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at Rose Garden Lanes, Route 33 in Bergen. $8 per child.

•Craft Class by Nancy Sue Foltz. Create a take home project. Pizza and a drink will be provided for lunch. For children grades K-6. Thursday, February 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at the Riga Recreation Office. $8 per child.

•Creative Kids by Nancy Sue Foltz - Mom ad Me Art, mixed media. For youth ages 3-5 with adult. Wednesdays, February 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Riga Recreation Office. $25 per child.

•Clay Projects. Springtime animals, guided hand building. For youth ages 6-12. Saturdays, March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Riga Recreation office. $35 per child.
oFine Arts Drawing 2. Introduction to one and two point perspective. For youth ages 8-12. Thursdays, February 27, March 6, 13, 20, 27, 2003 from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. at the Riga Recreation Office. $30 per child.

•Easter Ceramics for Adults. Assorted Easter pieces to choose from and a teacher's special Easter holiday decoration. We will be enjoying a pizza lunch. Tell all your friends. For adults 18 and older. Saturday, March 22, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Maher Lodge at South Sanford Road Recreation Facility Lodge. $12 per participant.

•Youth Baseball Clinic. Children will learn to throw, catch, and hit in a fun and noncompetitive environment. The Churchville Youth Association baseball coaches instruct these classes. For children ages 5-12 Wednesdays, March 5 to April 2, 2003. Session 1 ages 5 & 6, 5:30 p.m. Session 2 ages 7 & 8, 6:30 p.m. Session 3 ages 9-12, 7:30 p.m. at the Churchville Elementary School gymnasium and fields. $20 per participant.

Pre-registration is necessary for all. Make checks payable to Riga Recreation.
