Lacrosse clinic in Spencerport in March

The Spencerport Boys' Lacrosse Parents Club will host its second annual lacrosse clinic on Sunday, March 2. Rochester Knighthawks' Tim Soudan will conduct the clinic for boys and girls, grades three through eight. New players will be introduced to the fundamentals of the game, while seasoned veterans will have an opportunity to improve their skills and raise their game to a new level, by practicing with some of the Rochester's finest lacrosse players.

The Parents Club, formed in 2002, has funded Spencerport's first modified boys' lacrosse team with strong parent involvement and community support. The 2002 modified team closed the season with an impressive 9-1 record. While the modified team was added in the '02-'03 school budget, the booster club must now raise money to fund the JV team, which will debut this spring.

The clinic will be held at Spencerport High School on Sunday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost of the clinic is $25 for Spencerport School District residents, and $30 for non-district residents. Local colleges have donated lacrosse equipment to be auctioned off at the conclusion of the clinic.
