Alzheimer's Association accepting
nominations for Quality of Life Awards

The Alzheimer's Association is sponsoring the 5th annual Quality of Life awards to be presented at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 5, at the 12th Annual Chefs' Connection Dinner at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Rochester.

The Quality of Life awards recognize individuals and organizations that have dedicated themselves to creating a world without Alzheimer's while optimizing quality of life for individuals and their families, demonstrated through their efforts in research, service and support. The awards will be presented in recognition of individuals and organizations whose lifetime or long-term achievement has had a major impact on people with Alzheimer's disease and their families.

Past recipients include: Dr. Paul Coleman, director of the Alzheimer's Disease Center, University of Rochester Medical Center; Michael Cornwall, nurse practitioner; Fairport Baptist Homes; Kirkhaven's Hart Taylor Special Care Center; Rochester Presbyterian Home's Dementia Care Center; and ViaHealth's Alzheimer's Dementia Outreach Program.
