C-C seniors advance to finals of National Merit Scholarship Program

According to Susan Salvaggio, principal of Churchville-Chili Senior High School, two C-C senior students are named finalists in the 2003 National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSP). These students are Kellie French and Jordan Hicks. They will now advance to the final selection process and be considered for one of the National Merit $2,500 scholarships.

The NMSP honors over 50,000 students nationwide, but only 16,000 students are named finalists. Approximately 8,000 awards will be offered and the winners of these awards will be announced in May.

The students were recognized by Salvaggio and C-C Senior High School counselor Janice Spiotta and presented with certificates of merit from the National Merit Scholarship Program.
