Cyclists sought for fundraiser

Rochester Raging Rhinos goalkeeper and 1996 Player of the Year, Billy Andracki, has joined the American Diabetes Association in the fight against diabetes. He is challenging local cyclists to untap the determination, strength and courage it takes to participate in the 11th Annual Tour de Cure.

"Many people like myself, will participate in Tour de Cure for the stimulating competition, camaraderie and physical challenge. But the real reward comes in knowing that every mile they ride and every dollar they raise brings us that much closer to a cure for this devastating disease that kills over 180,000 Americans each year," said Andracki, honorary chair.

On Saturday, June 7, cyclists from all over New York state will gather at Hamlin Beach State Park to ride for a cure for diabetes. Rochester is one of 100 sites throughout the United States that holds a Tour de Cure.
