Spencerport teams qualify for scholar awards

Five of the winter athletic teams at Spencerport High School qualified for the NYSPHSAA Team Scholar Athlete Award during the 2002 season. In order to qualify, a team must have a team grade point average of 90 percent or above. The teams that qualified, their grade point average and coach were: Boys Indoor Track - 90.067 - Marc Kuczek; Girls Basketball - 91.802 - Mark Moon; Girls Volleyball - 93.318 - Mike Zeman; Ice Hockey - 91.152 - Tom Donnelly; Wrestling - 90.619 - William Jacoutot.

Boys Indoor Track student-athletes who qualified for this award are Nicholas Minunni Derek Pulhamus, Matthew MacGilvary, David Czora, Nathanial Lowe, Devin Bedard, Sean Brinkman, Ryan McCloskey, Steve Reiss, Peter Moore, Lyle Pavia and Donald Pillittere.

Girls Basketball student-athletes who qualified for this award are Melissa D'Agostino, Nicole Garwol, Regina Martuscello, Carrie Kazmierski, Megan Reising, Jenna King and Kacey Pratt.

Girls Volleyball student-athletes who qualified for this award are Jessica Clontz, Melissa Parkhurst, Christine Jackson, Lindsay Longobardi, Jessica Bartock, Caitlin O'Brien, Kelly Schweikert and Meredith Muller.

Ice Hockey student-athletes who qualified for this award are Christopher Farnsworth, Colin McCloskey, Andrew DiAntonio, Andrew Morgan, Zachariah Gonyea, Nicholas Pucillo, Christopher Mark and Stephen Balcerak.

Wrestling student-athletes who qualified for this award are Eric Piedmonte, Bryan Bourne, Kristopher MacBeth, John T. Baker, Matthew Legas, Michael Collura, Michael Zecchino, Alexander Baxter, Daniel Tomasso and Adam Fredericks.
