Chili Public Library programs

Registration for Preschool Storytime for 4 and 5 year olds will begin Monday, March 31. The storytimes start the week of April 14 and run for 5 weeks. They will be held 1:30 p.m. Mondays, 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 11 a.m. Thursdays. Call 889-2200 or stop in at the Chili Public Library to register beginning March 31.

Robert Marcotte, author of Where They Fell: Stories of Rochester Area Soldiers in the Civil War, will be speaking at the Friends of the Chili Public Library spring program Monday April 28 at 7 p.m. The program is free with no registration and is open to the public.

Join us at the library for one of the two monthly book discussions. The adult discussion group is reading Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich for the Tuesday, April 1 meeting at 7 p.m.

The children's Books and Bites discussion group for grades 4-6 is reading Gary Paulsen's Hatchet at the Thursday, April 10, meeting. Call ahead, 889-2200.

All ages are invited to the Thursday, April 24, Pajama Storytime at 7 p.m. There is no registration and all are invited.

The library is planning a sleepover Friday, April 4, starting at 7:30 p.m. for boys and girls in grades 4-6. There will be a storyteller, pizza, popcorn, movies, games and crafts. Registration is required and runs through March 31 or until full. Registration must be completed in person only, as a permission slip must be filled out and an informational packet to be read.

DEAR Storytimes (Drop Everything and Read) are scheduled on Fridays at 11 a.m. throughout March. The Friday program will run April 25 through May 16. There is no registration and all are invited.

Call the Chili Public Library at 889-2200 to register for the free Beginning Internet instruction and/or LIBRAWeb (county library online catalog) instruction. All classes are held at 9:15 a.m. Tuesdays or Thursdays.
