Holley students celebrate School Breakfast Week

To celebrate "School Breakfast Week" Holley students received raffle tickets for every day they ate a healthy breakfast, whether at home or at school. At the end of the week, drawings were held for prizes. Over 200 students participated. "It's very important that children eat breakfast every day because food for the body is fuel for the brain," said Food Service Director Vickie Scroger. The Holley Elementary students who received prizes during the "School Breakfast Week" raffle are: (seated, l-r) Martin Beadle, Sylvia Rosario VanDorn, Brandon Morrell, Joshua Rowles and Felicia Clawson; (first row standing) Meagan Gaylord, Rachel Penders, Tim Butler, Joshua Brooker, Caitlyn Bannerman, Alyssa Franzese, Isaac Miller, Kuyanna Kuyal and Adrianna Shepherd; (back row) Food Service Director Vickie Scroger, Angelita McGee, School Nurse Julie Kirby, Sarah Johnson, Michael Brongo, School Nurse Mary Hills, John Kuyal, Kadriss Seda, Meaghan White and Principal Brenda Freida. Parents are reminded that all students who receive free or reduced price lunches are eligible for free or reduced price breakfasts.
