Local swim club competes in Syracuse

The SPUR swim club culminated its season in sending 11 swimmers to 14 and Under Niagara District Golds, held at Nottingham High School, Syracuse. Out of the 48 teams present, SPUR swim team placed ninth overall, in team standings. Highlight of the swim meet was Dylan Hickey winning the 50 Backstroke with a time of 34.17. Dylan Hickey and Tessa Snow will be going on to represent Niagara District at the Eastern Zone Swim Meet held in Sewell, New Jersey on March 27 to 30. Other highlights of the meet were best times swum by Whitney Hickey - 50 Butterfly 30.20, Tessa Snow - 100 Breaststroke 1:12.18, Hali Snow - 500 Freestyle 5:47.12, Jamie Barber - 50 Butterfly 36.34, Nicole Hill - 50 Freestyle 28.02, Monica Williams - 100 Individual Medley 1:10.56, Caleb Privitera - 50 Breaststroke 36.03, Kelley Anzalone - 200 Butterfly 2:48.23, Katelyn Przybyszewski - 50 Breaststroke 43.51, Victoria Brannan - 100 Backstroke 1:13.97. Starting in April, SPUR swimmers will be training for summer Long Course and Open water swimming events.
