Toy Show is Sports Booster's fundraiser

The Spencerport Sports Booster Club will host their 3rd Annual Toys For Sports fundraiser on Saturday, April 5 at the Taylor Elementary School in Spencerport. The Toy Show opens 9 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. Admission is $1 for adults, children 12 and under are free.

Besides toys, sports cards and collectibles will also be for sale. Door prizes (a total of $150 in the form of "Booster Bucks" to be spent at the show) will be drawn every 15 minutes. There will be live auctions on the hour, refreshments for sale by Barton's Parkside Hots and Abbott's Frozen Custard, and favorite television and radio music from yesteryear. New to the show this year will be live slots car racing by Pitstop Raceway. Area merchants and group sponsorships have helped support these highlights of the show.

Following the show at 3:30 p.m., a Toy/Sports Auction will feature antique/modern toys and sports collectibles. Auction items have been acquired through show vendors, garage sale donations and student-athlete toy drives. Minimum and non-minimum bid items will be auctioned. The auction list includes over 100 items including Star Wars Toys, Barbie Dolls, Matchbox cars, models, puzzles, board games, action figures, sports plaques, transformers, Fisher-Price Toys, Tonka Trucks, trains, sports items, sports cards and more.

All proceeds benefit Spencerport School Athletic programs. Call Bob at 585-352-5498 for information.
