Public invited to view the stars and planets

Members of a local astronomy club invite people of all ages to Northampton Park to view the Moon, Jupiter, and Saturn using the members' telescopes. The two giant planets are at their best, high in the sky. Soon, Saturn will be slipping into the western sunset and be out of sight in the evening. Members offer help for individuals who would like to learn their way around the sky.

Knowledgeable people will be on hand to answer questions. No equipment is needed, but people who want to learn how to better use their own telescopes and binoculars are welcome to bring them along. Warm attire is suggested. These next event is Friday, April 11 (cloud date April 12) from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at the ski lodge on Hubbell Road, off Route 31 in Ogden. The event is free.
