Riga Recreation and Community Events

•The Riga Recreation and Community Events Department invites community members to an Easter Egg Hunt at a new location, Maher Lodge, South Sanford Road Recreation Facility, Saturday, April 12. Session 1, for ages 2-5, is at 10 a.m. Session 2, for ages 6-10, is at 11 a.m. (Rain date April 19). Free prizes, face painting, games, cookie decorating and a special visit with the Easter Bunny are planned.

•Registration Packets for the Riga Recreation and Community Events Department, Summer Day Camp 2003, will be available Tuesday, April 21. Packets will be available at the Riga Recreation and Community Events Office, Riga Town Hall, Churchville Elementary School, Fairbanks Elementary School, Chestnut Ridge Elementary School and online at www.townofriga.org. Open to children who just completed kindergarten-6th grade. Session 1, June 30 through July 18, (No camp-Friday, July 4). Session II, July 21 through August 8, half day (9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) camp will be held at Churchville Elementary School. Full Day (7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) will begin at Churchville Elementary and pickup will be at Riga Town Park, Buffalo Road.

•The Town of Riga/Village of Churchville first Arbor Day Celebration is scheduled for Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26. Pick up coloring contest form online at www.townofriga.org, Elementary & Intermediate School Offices, Riga Town Hall and through the Riga newsletter.
