Committee formed to revise community disaster plan

The Village of Hilton and Town of Parma, along with representatives from Hilton Central Schools, Hilton Fire Department and North Greece Fire Department, are meeting to revise the current Community Disaster Plan to incorporate new federal regulations which require a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan. Briefly, the new regulations require that communities identify hazard risks and create a plan to minimize or eliminate the risk.

This committee will meet on May 8 at 2 p.m. to identify hazards within the town and village. The public is invited to the meeting and may participate in the discussion. This meeting will be held at the Parma Town Hall, meeting room 2. Call Jack Barton at 392-9449 with any comments or questions.
