Kendall Elementary
cares about the troops

Kendall Elementary students found the perfect way to show they care. While learning about the character trait "caring" over the past couple of months, students brought in items for a "Care Package" to send to U.S. Troops in the Middle East to show them that Kendall students are thinking about them and to say "thank you." Some of the items students brought in include granola bars, powdered drink mixes, cookies, lip balm, tissues, baby wipes and sunscreen. High schools students joined in and contributed to the donation as well. Above, Kendall sixth-grader Shaun Flaherty (left), second-grader Matthew Barbarito and sixth-grader Nicole Engert-Schmeer (back) with some of the many items students collected for the troops in the Middle East.
