Endres, Robbins net two in loss

After trailing 5-1 at halftime, the Hilton Cadets stormed back with the first three goals of the second half to close to within a goal, but couldn't hold off Brighton in a 9-5 loss in high school boy's lacrosse.

Junior Tyler Endres scored the only goal of the first half for Hilton before their second half-offensive burst started when senior Jeremy Robbins scored from left of the net. Then Endres won the face-off and took it from midfield himself bringing the Cadets to within two goals.

Minutes later with a man advantage, senior Brent Jeisen scored off a pass from Dan Faulks making it 5-4. Brighton scored the next two goals putting the game out of reach before Robbins took a long pass and scored for Hilton's fifth goal.

"When we went on the run in the third quarter, I was very optimistic," said head coach Pete Ritchie of his first year varsity program. "We just committed too many offensive zone turnovers and took too many penalties after fighting back into the game."

The Cadets fell to 0-5 with the loss including a 10-9 heartbreaker to Eastridge in the fourth game of the season.
