C-C awards transportation employees

Winners of the Employee of the Year Program were announed by Linda Hafner, director of Transportation for Churchville-Chili Central School district at a luncheon held at the C-C Transportation facility. The award was presented to Karen Warner and Gayle Kelley. These two bus drivers were nominated and chosen by their peers for their outstanding commitment and dedication. "These ladies are two of our best drivers," said Hafner.

Warner, a 35 year C-C employee, is a resident of the district. "I'm so happy to be honored by the Transportation Department," said Warner. Warner has the longest time of service with the district as a bus driver according to Hafner.

Kelley has been employed with the district since 1981, when she began her career as a substitute teacher. Kelley is also a Churchville resident and her daughters, Melissa and Diane, are CCSD graduates. Kelley gave tribute to the CCSD Transportation Department: "This is quite an honor to be chosen for this award. I'm representing all the bus drivers, monitors and substitute drivers, mechanics, and secretaries. We are all employees of the year."

Both Warner and Kelley will represent C-C at the Rochester Area Transportation Supervisor's luncheon held in May.
