Kendall schools rank in top fifty

Kendall Central School District has placed first in Orleans County and is one of Business First magazine's 50 Best Public School Districts in Western New York.

Business First graded ninety-nine public school systems in the eight-county area using thirty-two statistical indicators compiled by the State Education Department. Kendall students in grades 4 and 8 exceeded the state standards in math and English Language Arts. At the high school level, sixty eight percent of the 2002 graduates earned a Regents diploma. Eighty-nine percent of Kendall students taking the six-hour Comprehensive English Regents exam passed with forty-eight percent scoring eighty-five or higher on the exam. In social studies, ninety-one percent of Kendall students taking the Global History and Geography Regents exam passed, and eighty seven percent of students taking the U.S. History and Government Regents exam passed. In science, ninety-six percent of students taking the Living Environment (biology) Regents exam passed and ninety percent of the students taking the Physical Setting (earth science) Regents exam passed. In math, ninety-four percent of students taking the Course III Regents exam passed, with thirty four percent scoring eighty-five or higher.
