Kendall school budget presentation set for May 20

The Kendall Central School District will present its proposed budget for the 2003-04 school year at a budget hearing on Tuesday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kendall High School Commons. This date was changed due to state lawmakers' decision to postpone the school budget vote. The hearing will include a presentation of the proposed school budget for the 2003-04 school year and residents will have an opportunity to ask questions. Updated information from the state will be included, if it is available, according to school officials.

There will also be an opportunity to meet the candidate for the Kendall Board of Education - Ed Gaesser. Residents will elect one member to the Board of Education for a five-year term commencing July 1, 2003 and expiring June 30, 2008 to fill the expired term of David Ergott.

The annual school budget vote and school board election will be held Tuesday, June 3 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Kendall Elementary School. To vote, one must be a resident of the district for at least 30 days before the vote, at least 18 years of age, and a citizen of the United States.
