Spencerport School Board approves campus road names

The Spencerport School Board has approved names for the roads on the district's main campus.

The road coming off of Lyell Avenue into the Administration Building and leading up to Bernabi Elementary School will be named Trowbridge Road. The Trowbridge building is next to the Administration Building, and was a district school at one time.

The road that leads from Rt. 31 to Bernabi Elementary School will be called Bernabi Road. The new east-west road that crosses the middle of the campus has been named Ranger Road, which reflects the name given to the district's athletic teams. This road, created in the district's current construction project, goes past the new elementary school and Cosgrove Middle School. It ends at the high school.

The road off Spencerport Road between the high school and the middle school will be named E.J. Wilson Road. The Spencerport High School building is named for E.J. Wilson, a former superintendent of schools.

As the Spencerport School District's construction project nears completion, road signs designating the new names will be erected.
