Hawks sweep singles in tennis win

The Holley Hawks went three-for-three in the singles matches on their way to a 4-1 win at Kendall's beautiful new tennis courts in high school varsity tennis.

No. 1 singles player Bryan Beckingham swept Chris Benes 6-1, 6-4; Brian Gleason defeated Josh Pak 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Andrew Grillo did not lose a game in his 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles.

Kendall's Matt Beres and Tyler Northrup accounted for the only win for the Eagles in their 6-0, 6-2 first doubles match win over Matt Paeth and Lucas Doty.

Holley's Matt Denning and Justin Widrig defeated Blake Billings and Melissa Joseph 6-4, 6-1 to wrap up the Hawks victory.
