Celebrate Ogden's history
at Pulver House 40th Anniversary

A celebration of the Ogden Historical Society's 40th anniversary will take place on Sunday, June 8 at the Eastman Colby Homestead/Pulver House (the Society's museum) from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be a welcome by local community leaders and demonstrations of pioneer life such as quilting, spinning and carving. A clown will entertain the young folks and old-fashioned children's games will be played outdoors. Refreshments will be served.

The Pulver House is at 568 Colby Street, on the northwest corner of Washington Street and Colby Street in the Town of Ogden. Take Route 531 west to the end at Washington Street, turn left, go to the first flashing light which is at Colby Street. Turn right and the Pulver House is on the right. The Pulver House is unique in that it is located on Monroe County land, a part of Northampton Park, so outside maintenance is done by Monroe County. Indoor maintenance is the responsibility of the Ogden Historical Society while utilities and other support is provided by the Town of Ogden.

The house was built by Eastman Colby but is better known as the Pulver House since the Pulver family was the last to live in it.

The Ogden Historical Society is hoping to increase its membership during this anniversary celebration.
