signs Character Ed
Partnership Agreement

Rick Furnal, left, owner and manager of Furnal's Big-M grocery store in Hilton, became the 32nd business or civic organization to sign Hilton Central School District's Character Education Partnership Agreement which will be displayed in the store. "We employee many students from our community," Furnal said, "and I expect this agreement will be part of our employee training program." Hilton Character Education Coordinator, Jodi McKain, right, helped implement the agreement which supports positive character traits in youth. Assistant Principal of Northwood Elementary School Karen Bolinger commented, "The development of good character in children requires the efforts of both home and school, as well as, those of community resources such as faith-based and civic organizations. The Hilton School Community is proud of the Partnership Agreement and the opportunity to make character education connections."
