A history lesson came alive at Churchville-Chili Junior High School as seventh graders observed a portrayal of Abraham Lincoln. Actor Fritz Klein brought history to life as part of the seventh grade social studies unit, The Civil War.

Klein's interpretation was realistic, informative and entertaining and also included portions of Lincoln's speeches.

At the conclusion of Klein's performance, students asked many questions, such as, "Is that your real hair?" and "Is it hard to do Lincoln's southern accent?" Klein answered, "Yes," to both questions and added, "Lincoln worked hard to cultivate his intellect." Klein ended the presentation by quoting Lincoln, "My mind is like steel, it's hard to get something in but once it's in you can't get it out."
