Churchville Park Golf Course reopens

Churchville Park Golf Course reopened June 9. The East Course has been closed since September 1, 2001 for reconstruction.

The project involved the reconstruction of the tees and greens on the East Course, development of a computerized irrigation system on the East and South courses, drainage improvements and general landscaping. Passero Associates of Rochester managed the design project, using Jordan Design Associates of Fayetteville, NY.

Monroe County's three public golf courses (Durand-Eastman, Genesee Valley and Churchville) are managed and operated by The Parks.

The Churchville Park Golf Course typically opens during the last week of March, depending on the weather, with the season ending on November 11. The course is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. until dusk. Tee times are required on weekends and holidays until noon. Golfers can call 293-0680 to schedule a time.
