Lakeside Memorial Hospital and Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in Brockport have achieved the Gold Seal of ApprovalTM for health care quality - hospital and long term care accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The award of accreditation is for the three-year period ending 2006.

Joint Commission accreditation means Lakeside has demonstrated compliance with national standards for patient and resident safety and quality of care. "We seek accreditation for our organization because we want to demonstrate our commitment to the safety and quality care of patients and residents served at Lakeside," said Charles W. Smith, CEO of Lakeside Health System.
