Construction and renovation in full swing at Hilton Elementary Schools

School officials say contractors are working feverishly at Hilton Elementary Schools this summer to complete the majority of classroom, gymnasium, cafeteria and other capital improvements under the district's $57.9 million Capital Project which began in March. Steel for the Village Elementary School's new gymnasium is being erected, above, while new entrances, classrooms and parking/traffic improvements are also underway at Quest and Northwood Elementary Schools. Playgrounds at elementary schools are closed for the summer. Signs in and around schools are directing traffic to appropriate parking lots and main offices which are in portable trailers. For further information about the scope of the Capital Project, district officials invite residents to visit the district web site: http://www.hilton.k12.ny.us/lrp.htm. Submitted photo.
