Production company seeks
WWII veterans with stories of love and commitment

Hero Productions, an independent film and video production company in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is developing and producing a unique television series. "The Reunion Project" will feature lessons of love and family shared by a special group of people: those who lived through World War II. Hero Productions is currently collecting stories of the many men and women who kept their love and commitment intact despite the hardships of World War II.

According to Hero Producer Carol Matthews, this idea is unlike any other.

"Our idea is unique in that, while numerous films and documentaries have captured heroes, battles, and the brutaliity of war, few, if any, have focused on the relationships that endured, even thrived after wartime years of aloneness, hardship and hoping against the unknown," Matthews said. "We want to celebrate how, in the midst of war, new love began and old love sustained."

The team at Hero Productions hopes "The Reunion Project" will provide a platform for W.W. IIs 'everyday' heroes. Veterans and their families will be able to share their experiences of life, love and hope during the years of the Second World War. The show will feature stories of how they coped, how their love and commitment endured, and how they kept hope alive. Matthews believes the 'greatest generation' has a valuable lesson for younger generations.

According to Matthews, many veterans and their families have great wisdom to share.

"Most of the veterans we talk to have an idea, or several ideas, about how we're living our lives and what is missing from our homes and our relationships," she said. "Personally, I would like to hear from the wisdom that only comes with age."

Those interested in sharing their family's stories or lessons learned should send them to: The Reunion Project c/o Hero Productions, PMB-286, 3807-GH South Peoria Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74105. Or via email to: contact@heroproductions.com

The format of "Reunion" will mainly consist of interviews and photographs along with old movie and news film footage. Hero Productions' mission is to create and produce life-giving content for television. "The Reunion Project" is one of several ideas developed to support their mission.
