•Downs, June (Oswold), Sunday, July 13, 2003. Predeceased by parents, Harold and Elizabeth Oswold; sisters, Helen and Dolores. Survived by devoted husband, Russell; daughters, Pamela (Thomas) Batzold and Cynthia (Walter) Smith; sons, Paul Cooke, Daniel Cooke, Mark (Clare) Evans and Patrick Evans; 15 grandchildren.

•Hahn, George V., July 8, 2003 at age 87. Predeceased by his loving wife, Frances; brother, Walter; sisters, Marg Hahn, June Leckinger; and his parents. He is survived by his son, George (Jeanie) Hahn; daughter, Salley Rosa; grandchildren, Jeff (Lori) Hahn, Jody, Jeremy and Jonathan Tyler. George was a member of Churchville VFW Post 11109, a Veteran of WWII and a retiree with 42 years at General Railway Signal.

Funeral Services were held July 14 at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Avon. Interment Riga Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Crossroads House, P.O. Box 403, 11 Liberty Street, Batavia, NY 14021 in his memory.


BROCKPORT

•Fisk, Gladys M., Age 56, died July 9, 2003. Predeceased by her husband, Dale R. Fisk; her father, James MacDiarmid. Survived by her mother, Gladys MacDiarmid and her daughter, Amy Emerick and many beloved friends.

Funeral Services were held July 12 at the Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Private interment, Lake View Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 3 Forest Street, New Canaan, Connecticut 06840 in her memory.


•Smith, June (Crosby), On July 12, 2003 at age of 81. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Sr. (Donna) and Philip (Linda) Smith; grandchildren, Kenneth Jr., Jeffrey (Nicole), David (Dee) Bennetti Jr., Missy (Cortney) Hayflinger; great-grandchildren, Branden, Mary Kate, Alena, Zackary, and special friend, Taylor; brothers, Roger (Shirley) and Richard "Denny" (Barbara) Crosby; sisters, Virginia (George) Mangus and Dorothy Clerk; several nieces and nephews.

CHURCHVILLE

•DiGiacomo, Ronald C. "Ron," July 14, 2003 at age 55. He was predeceased by his brother David. He is survived by his sons Brett (Bonnie) DiGiacomo and Scott DiGiacomo; his parents Carmen and Lily DiGiacomo; his brother Robb DiGiacomo; his sister Sue (David) Thomas; his aunt and uncle Elaine and Bill Koch; sisters-in-law Pat DiGiacomo and Dawn Johnson; his niece Kristen; nephews Ryan, David and Michael; his special friend Trish Walker. Ron was a partner with his father in OK Market, Churchville and was a member of the Riga Recreation Board.

A Memorial Mass was held July 17 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. Interment St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.


•Kobisch, Raymond K., July 12, 2003. Predeceased by his son, Michael Joseph Nolte; sister Kathleen Murphy. Survived by his loving wife Barbara-Ann Trapani Kobisch; children, Heidi (Tim) Nagel and Edward (Theresa) Kobisch; grandchildren, Ryan Nagel, Morgan Kobisch and Victoria Kobisch; aunt Helen Coleman; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ray was a member of the American Legion Post #954.

•Callery, Ruth A., July 9, 2003 age 67. Predeceased by her husband, Patrick. Survived by her children, Linda (Brian) Saunders, Michael Callery, Darlyn Callery, Timothy (Andrea) Callery, Daniel (Barbara) Callery, Cynthia (Brian) Magar, Terrence Callery, Diana (Jay Whittaker) Blanchard, Christine (Eric) Smith; brothers, George and Raymond Campbell; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

HOLLEY

•Nadelen Jr., Theodore R., Age 63, died July 10, 2003. Predeceased by his daughter, Jill and mother, Ruth Nadelen. Survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Julie Nadelen of Waterport; son, Ted Nadelen III of Batavia; grandchildren, Megan Pearl of Waterport, Nicholas Acquilano of Geneva, Randy Pearl Jr., Ryan Pearl and Joseph Pearl; father, Theodore Nadelen Sr. of Watertown; brothers, Rev. Robert (Joanne) Nadelen of Watertown, Timothy Nadelen of Greece and Thomas (Lauraina) Nadelen of Watertown; several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as his beloved extended family.

Funeral Services were held July 15 at the First Presbyterian Church of Albion. Interment in the Albion Cemetery with military honors. Memorials can be made to the organization of one's choice.

•Ezell, Doris J., July 7, 2003 age 66. •Phillips, Helen H. (Hayes), July 13, 2003 at age 70. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mike Phillips; her children Le Ann (Frank) Bach, Connie (John) Douglas, Cathy (Dale) Kincaid, Paul Phillips and John Carter; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a member of American Legion Post #29 Auxiliary, Carolina Beach, North Carolina.

•Sherwood, Dr. Lorraine Zucco, Age 60, daughter of Anthony L. and Mary Davis Zucco of Sherrill, New York, died July 9, 2003 in Rochester General Hospital. She was born June 26, 1943 in Oneida. She was a graduate of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School, class of 1961, and SUNY-Geneseo, where she received her bachelor of science degree in education. She later received her masters of science degree in education from Syracuse University and her doctorate of education from SUNY-Buffalo. Prior to her retirement in July of 2000, as a library media specialist, from the Hilton Central School System, Dr. Sherwood was recognized with 39 and one-half years of teaching in Ardsley, Henrietta and Hilton. Since her retirement from teaching, she had been active in volunteer work with community and education endeavors. She was a member of the Alpha Alpha Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma and Delta Theta Chapter of Rho Delta Kappa, where she held various offices and chairmanships.

Survived by her parents, Anthony and Mary Zucco; her brother and sister-in-law, Lauren A. and Barbara Zucco of Sparta, Wisconsin; three nieces, Jennifer Zucco and her fiancé, Aaron Conway of Salisbury, Massa-chusetts, Meridith and Jared Deverman of Peoria, Illinois and Aimee Zucco of West Salem, Wisconsin; four cousins, Petrina Lumbrazo of Whitesboro, Teresa Cardinal of Clinton and Lawrence Ciuffo and Gaspar Ciuffo, both of California.

Funeral Services were held at the convenience of the family. Burial in Stockbridge Cemetery.


•Zipfel, Charlotte C. (King), July 14, 2003 at age 89. She was predeceased by her husbands, George King and Joseph Zipfel and her son James Harris. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Evelyn E. Harris; her daughter Frances (Charles) Rhoads; her son Edwin C. Harris; her sister-in-law Virginia King; several grand-children; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Ivy League Rebeccas of Spencerport.

Funeral Services were held July 18 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment Fairfield Cemetery.
