Hamlin Recreation offers "Start Smart," a sports development program for preschool children ages 3-5 with a parent. The seven-week program runs on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The parent must attend a pre-program meeting Wednesday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m. and the children start attending on August 6 and end on September 10. The cost will be $35 and activities will be held at the Hamlin Town Hall gym.

This program will teach children with their parents, basic sports mechanics necessary to play organized sports and work one-on-one. It will focus on throwing, catching, batting and kicking skills without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt.
