August programs at Ogden Farmers' Library

•Bottle Rockets with Dr. Jim Cain - Monday, August 4 at 11 a.m. Learn about aeronautics and flying bottle rockets. Children must be 9 years old to participate.

•Jewelry Making - Tuesday, August 5 at 11 a.m. Learn to make bead babies that can be used as necklaces, earrings or zipper pulls. Grades 6 and up.

•Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate - Tuesday, August 12, 11 a.m. Explore the fine art of making chocolates. Grades 6 and up.

•Dog Days of August - Summer programs are ending with a week-long celebration honoring our canine friends. There will be a different activity every day. On Monday, August 11 Dog Olympics and Dog Treat Baking will be held. This program is limited to 15 well-behaved dogs. Handler must be at least 10 years old and dogs must stay on a leash at all times. Dr. Rickey will be a special guest puppy at the gazebo story hour on August 12 at 11. On Wednesday, August 13 meet some remarkable dogs and their trainers when service dogs visit the library. Learn more about the role of these dogs in the community. Ages 5 and up. Registration required.

•Tales by Generation - Friday, August 15, 2 p.m. Special story telling performance featuring teens and adults under the supervision of Peggy Hagen. All ages are welcome. No registration.
