Westside Theatre Productions presents "Anything Goes"

The musical "Anything Goes," featuring the music of Cole Porter, will be presented by Westside Theatre Productions in conjunction with the Town of Riga Recreation Department. The musical theater camp is under the direction of Kelly Walsh and is open to students entering ninth grade and older. "This is one of the best casts we've ever assembled. Their professional attitude and team effort is reflected in the high standard of performance they are achieving," says Walsh.

Newcomer Katelyn Machnica is impressed with the way everyone supports each other irregardless of their part in the musical. Pete Giordano and Sean O'Donnell have found the play to be an opportunity to make lasting friendships with the social interaction being as enjoyable as the performance. Rachel Walsh feels it's an easy way to make friends countywide since 10 school districts are represented. Katie Ciaccia feels that theatre camp is one of summer's highlights since she gets to participate in the backstage functions as well as gaining onstage experience.

The performances for Anything Goes will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 7, 8, and 9. at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. All performances will be held at Churchville-Chili Senior High School auditorium on Buffalo Road. A suggested donation of $5 per ticket is requested.
