•O'Brien, Rebecca M., August 6, 2003. Predeceased by her husband, Robert C. O'Brien. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen; sons, David, Richard (Teri) and Robert (Donna); brother, Bruce McAfee; grandchildren, Jennifer, Leslie, Nichole, Michelle, Kevin and Eileen; four great grandchildren; nieces and a nephew.

•Smith, Sidney K., August 6, 2003, after a short illness. Predeceased by his wife, Cecelia B. Smith, son, Roger A. Smith. Survived by daughters, Beverly A. (John) Neder of North Chili, Laura (William) Robinson of Ogden; grandchildren, Kathleen Needer, Bonnie (Randy) Kaufman, Cheryl Robinson, Jeffery (Pamela) Robinson, Lisa (Curt) Pagano and Cindy (Christopher) Cowden; great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Mallory Robinson; sister, Laura Johnson of LeRoy and brother, Charles B. (Viola) Smith of Manchester; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Edward) Bischoping; brother-in-law, Frank (Elisabeth) Degus; nieces and nephews. Sidney served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a retiree of Yawman & Erbe and Taylor Manufacturing.

A Prayer Service was held August 8 at the James R. Gray Funeral Home. Interment, Grove Place Cemetery. Donations can be directed to the Gates Volunteer Ambulance or the Chili Volunteer Fire Department in his memory.


•Tobin, Charles R. "Chuck," August 8, 2003, age 55. He is survived by his wife, Arleen (Reitano); his children, Christopher (Jill), Kyra and Chuck Tobin; his mother, June Tobin; his sister, Nancy (Lee) Oldfield; his brother, Gary Tobin; mother-in-law, Jennie Reitano; brothers-in-law, Frank (Mary Ann), John ("Bear") and Richard (Gilda) Reitano; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Chuck was predeceased by his Dad, Willard "Bill" Tobin, October 2002.

Funeral Services were held August 11 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Hilton. Interment Parma Union Cemetery. The family asks you to spend time with a loved one in his memory.


BROCKPORT

•Battisti, Pasquale "Patsy," August 10, 2003, age 80, after a long illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Giovanna; his children, Robert (Annunziata), Carlo (Evelyn), Larry (Patricia), Claudio (Andrea), Amadeo, and Maria (Dan) Lincoln; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers in Italy; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said August 13 at the Church of the Nativity, Brockport. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made in his memory to the Golisano Children's Hospital, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY 14642.


•DiFlorio, Christine L. (Lippa), suddenly on August 9, 2003 at the age of 40. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tim; her loving children, Stephan, Matthew, Nathan and Patrick; her parents, Henry and Helen Lippa; brother, Douglas (Michelle) Lippa; father-in-law, John DiFlorio; sister-in-law, Lori (David) Peroni; several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.

A Funeral Service was held August 14 at First Bible Baptist Church. Interment, Garland Cemetery. Do-nations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 333 Westmoreland Drive, Rochester 14620 in her memory.


•Flanagan, William J. "Red", August 10, 2003, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by his wife, Lucile. Survived by his nieces and caregivers, Pat Flannery and Peggy (Oscar) Lewis; son, Doug (Helen) O'Brien; grandsons, Robert and Richard O'Brien; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said August 15 at the Church of the Nativity, Brockport. Interment Lake View Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. John's Home Foundation, 150 Highland Avenue, Rochester 14620 in his memory.


HAMLIN

•Rath, Luther W. "Skin," August 6, 2003 at the age of 87. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marilyn; also his four sons, Duane (Marion) and Tom (Pam) of Hamlin, Jim (Debbie Carmel) of Florida and John (Sandi) Rath of Mississippi; nine grandchildren, Logan, Joshua, Jeremy, Samantha, Ashley, Christine, Cody, Brandon and Jaclyn. He was predeceased by his daughter, Connie and his two granddaughters, April and Alexandra. He is also survived by his sisters, Helen (Louis) Szklany, Laurie (Art) Schultz, Carol (Gordon) Wright; his brother, George (Nancy) Rath; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services were held August 10 at St. John Lutheran Church, Hamlin. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Hamlin. Memorials can be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 1107 Lake Road West Fork, Hamlin 14464.


HOLLEY

Coots, Bonnie L. (Johnson) (Farrelly), Age 57, died August 9, 2003. Loving wife of William; loving mother of Rhonda (Steven) Townsend of Chili, Leonard M. Farrelly of Greece, Shane P. Farrelly of Albion, Daniel S. (Michell) Farrelly of Spencerport; loving grandmother of nine grandchildren; loving step-mother of Tammy (Dennis) Smith of North Carolina, Kelly (Jim) Fairchild of Hilton, Jody States of Clarkson, Michael Coots of Albion, Robert Coots of Albion; also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
