Ribbon cutting celebrates Spencerport
school project completion

All Spencerport School District residents are invited to the community ribbon cutting celebration commemorating the completion of the $46 million capital project. The event is set for Saturday, September 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The activities for the day include student performances and demonstrations, face painting, games, and the presence of the Ranger Bear and Spikes (the mascot for the Rochester Red Wings).

The ribbon cutting begins at 10 a.m. at the high school in the lobby of the new auditorium. The middle school ribbon cutting follows at 11:15 a.m. Canal View Elementary School ribbon cutting is at 12:15 p.m., and the athletic facilities ribbon cutting is at 1:10 p.m. The varsity football team plays at the Trowbridge Field at 2 p.m.

"This will be a day of celebration," says Superintendent Phillip Langton. "We hope the whole community can join us."
