MS Society hosts teleconference

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society Upstate New York Chapter presents the Understanding Social Security Disability and Veteran's Benefits Teleconference on Wednesday, September 17, from 6:45 to 8 p.m. at its Chapter Office, 1650 South Avenue, Suite 100, Rochester. There is a suggested donation of $3, payable at the door.

John Barbuto, benefits specialist from ARISE Children and Family Services, Syracuse Independent Living Center, and Adam Ormsby, certified social worker, SCI/SCD, coordinator with the Veterans Administration (VA) in Syracuse, will speak about the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) Program and VA benefits. Topics will include eligibility requirements, applications, and appeal processes. This program is appropriate for anyone applying for SSDI or VA benefits or considering doing so in the near future.
