Churchville's Mayor Don Ehrmentraut welcomed the crowd to the dedication ceremony of the Clock Tower then read the dedication proclamation with trustees Scott Cullen, Nancy Steedman, former trustee Lyle Warren and Dean Arlidge joining him near the podium. In reading the proclamation Ehrmentraut said: "This Clock Tower is dedicated today, September 14, 2003 to the many lives lost, their families and the heroes of that horrific day, September 11, 2001. Every day the carillon rings reminding us that we are proud to be in America, our land of freedom and opportunity." The memorial was made possible by donations from The Churchville Lions Club, the Dr. Nancy Perkins Charitable Foundation, The Churchville Beautification Committee and a donation in memory of Mrs. Mildred Cullen. |
