Two school records in Ranger waters

Senior Miriam Gurumsen and junior Jaclyn Cowles each broke their own school records as the Spencerport Rangers won ten of the twelve events and defeated Gates Chili 98-88 in girl's swimming.

Gurumsen, an exchange student from Denmark, set a new pool and school record in the 100-meter fly with 1:02.66 beating her mark from one week prior. She also won the 200-meter freestyle in 2:10.71 and was part of the winning 200-meter medley and 200-meter freestyle relay teams with Maryanne Eisenberg, Cowles and Annah Grobengieser.

Cowles broke her week-old record in the 200-meter individual medley with 2:22.51 and also won the 100-meter breast stroke in 1:13.4.

Grobengieser won the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle in 27.13 and 1:00.67 respectively. Bethany Arganbright won the diving competition with 168.25 points, while Lena Ann SanFilipo and Molly Gurnett finished one-two in the 100-meter backstroke with the winning time 1:17.10.
