Saints netters still perfect

Churchville-Chili improved their season record to 15-0 and they had yet to lose a single game as they defeated Brockport 25-18, 25-11 and 25-13 at the Saints Homecoming in boy's volleyball.

Brockport tied the first game at five on a Caleb Dickson kill before the Saints went on a 17-8 run which included three consecutive aces by Erik Palumbo. The Blue Devils Chris Masiello had two blocks during the same rally to pull Brockport to 24-18, but Jim Clar ended the game with one of his season high 20 kills.

Palumbo would add two more of his eight aces in the second game and Clar had three kills for the final three points.

Andy Parrino and Masiello registered kills in the third game, but the closet Brockport could get was within three points in the Saints sweep.

Palumbo added nine digs and seven kills, Clar led with 13 digs and Chris Shekell had seven digs and led with 36 assists. Juanita College from Pennsylvania was courting all three after the contest.
